English: John Butrovich, Jr. (1910–1997), known as either "Johnny" or "Butro", was an American businessman and politician. Butrovich served a total of 30 years as a senator in the territorial and state legislators. He also owned an insurance agency in Fairbanks, Alaska, where he lived almost all his life. The headquarters building of the University of Alaska system was named in Butrovich's honor (he was present for the building's groundbreaking ceremony in the mid 1980s).
