«Флаг района представляет собой зелёное полотнище с отношением ширины к длине 2:3, на всю поверхность которого распространена композиция из герба района с заменой геральдического золота — жёлтым, а геральдического серебра — белым цветом».

Описание герба: «В лазоревом поле под серебряной вырезанной главой, образующей вершину тройной остроконечной горы, у которой средняя вершина выше прочих, — два выходящих по сторонам зелёных склона, каждый из которых ограничен льющимся из края главы серебряным и лазоревым дважды просечённым потоком; из слияния обоих потоков выходит серебряная мурованная с остроконечной кровлей башня, имеющая чёрную входную арку и два чёрных же окна (одно над другим)».
