English: Ex-Lyon trolleybus 2611 in Mediaş, Romania, soon after being acquired secondhand by Mediaş, and still showing its Lyon fleet number. In this 2004 photo, it is still wearing Lyon fleet livery and lettering for its former operator, TCL. No. 2611 (originally numbered 3962) is a Berliet ER100R trolleybus built in 1977 for the Lyon trolleybus system (in France). It was acquired by Mediaş in 2004, along with several other ex-Lyon Berliet trolleybuses. Most were renumbered in Mediaş into the number series 656+. The trolleybus is shown northbound on Strada Avram Iancu, about to turn left onto Strada Unirii, probably on a training run. No. 2611 did not remain in Medias long, and was soon sold to the Piatra Neamt trolleybus system, where it entered service as No. 142 (in 2005 or 2004). |
