Istoricul obiectului
Deutsch: Das Wappen gilt als „redendes Wappen“, weil die Weinleiter in der Mundart „Raste“ genannt wird. Diese wird bereits seit dem 15. Jahrhundert in den Siegeln abgebildet. Später wurde der badische Schrägbalken ins Wappen aufgenommen. Im 19. Jahrhundert setzte sich allmählich die Weinleiter alleine durch. Das Badische Innenministerium genehmigte dann am 6. März 1895 das Wappen in gespaltenem Schild mit beiden Symbolen. Dennoch wurde in der Folgezeit die einfache Form der Weinleiter als Wappen geführt, bis der Gemeinderat am 18. Dezember 1995 endgültig die ursprüngliche Form des Wappen bestätigte.
English: The arms were granted on March 6, 1895 and confirmed on December 18, 1995. The arms are canting, a "Raste" is a barrel skid. The oldest seal of the town dates from the early 16th century and shows a shield parted of the arms of Baden and the “Raste”. This symbol was used until around 1820 when the Baden part disappeared on the seals. The arms were officially adopted in 1895, nevertheless were the arms with the combination of Baden and the “Raste” still used until the 1930s. After 1945 the 1895 arms remained in use, but in 1995 the city returned to the old arms.
