Usage

This template allows for the easy citing and linking to acts of Polish law published in either of the Polish legal gazettes, Dziennik Ustaw or Monitor Polski. It automatically creates a link to the relevant act in the ISAP (Internetowy System Aktów Prawnych) database.

Any act of Polish law can be identified by the gazette title (or its abbreviation: Dz. U. or M.P.), year of publication, volume (numer, nr) and number (pozycja, poz.). Starting in 2012, Polish laws are only published online, while publication on paper has been discontinued. Consequently, the volume number is not assigned to acts of law published since 1 January 2012.

Parameters

title (required): full title of the law, in Polish
trans_title (optional): English translation of the title
gazette (required for publications in Monitor Polski): title or abbreviation of the gazette (Polish: wydawnictwo); any of the following values will result in Monitor Polski: Monitor Polski, Monitor, MP, M.P., M. P., monitor polski, monitor, mp, m.p., m. p.; any other or blank value defaults to Dziennik Ustaw
year (required): year of the publication
volume (required for laws published before 2012): volume of the gazette (Polish: numer)
number (required): number of the act within the volume or year (Polish: pozycja)
date (optional): date of the publication (preferably in the ISO format, yyyy-mm-dd)
