Dear Andrei,

Of course, you can use this photograph for your Wikipedia's article.
Just in case, could
you provide me with a link to this photo to be sure that I'm really the
author of it.

I can guess that this is
http://terijoki.spb.ru/trk_showpic.php3?dir=pics/sights&img=komarovo_akhamtova-01.jpg
.. You also may be interested in the photo of Akhamatova's memorial on the

.. We have also on our site the virtual excursion about Komarovo -
http://terijoki.spb.ru/trk_showpic.php3?dir=pics/sights&img=komarovo_nekropol-01.jpg
.. It's in russian, but you can find there the famosu portrait of A.
Akhamatova by N. Altman, who is burried near Akhamotova's grave.

If you will use these photographs you can mention the author (Alexandr
Bravo) and, if possible, the site http://terijoki.spb.ru for which these
photos were made. Terijoki, now Zelenogorsk is a neighbour town to Komarovo.

Best regards,
  Alexandr Bravo

Dear Andrei,

You are absolutely right, "E" stands for Evgenievich because my father's name is Eugene (in fact, in Russian - Eugeniy), like your father's name. More to say, my yonger daughter is Eugenia which is female variant of Eugene here.

Yes, the photos you found and those I've shown to you are exactly the same, we just used them in different materials on our site. You can use it in your article for Wikipedia, it will be pleasure for me.

Best regards,
  Alexandr

Dear Aleksandr,

Does the E in your address stand for Evgenievich? Please don't mind the question. But some time ago when I worked for a short time in Russia and the SNG countries my Russian friends would call me Andrei Evgenievich, (as my father's name is Eugene) and people found it strange for an American to have such a Russian name. Unfortunately, my Russian is just sufficient for survival and I apologize for not answering in Russian as I should.

First of all, thank you for your kind letter. As I told you,I am trying to write an article on Anna Akhmatova for the Wikipedia free encyclopedia and found the pictures of her dacha (and also the one of her grave which is presented in the Russian version of the Wikipedia encyclopedia. While the sites you indicated are different from the ones on which I found the pictures, which are http://terijoki.spb.ru/trk_showpic.php3?dir=history/kellomaki&img=kom-01.jpg for the dacha andhttp://terijoki.spb.ru/trk_showpic.php3?dir=history/kellomaki&img=kom-02.jpg for Anna Akhmatova's grave, but they are the same pictures without any doubt. And those are the pictures for which I request your permission.

Thanking you again for you graceful response,

Спасибо Болъшой

Andrei
