Istoricul obiectului
Deutsch: Das von Waldemar Mallek entworfene Wappen wurde am 31. Oktober 1972 durch den Regierungspräsidenten in Osnabrück genehmigt. Das Kriegszelt mit der Krone wird schon seit Jahrhunderten im Gemeindesiegel von Veldhausen geführt. Es stellt das Kriegszelt des Generals Rabenhaupt - Baron tho Sucha - eines niederländischen Edelmannes dar. Die vier goldenen Kugeln entstammen dem Wappen des Fürsten zu Bentheim. Das Haus ist ›redend‹ für Neuenhaus. Die Bezeichnung ›Neues Haus‹ für das um 1317 erbaute Schloss durch Johann II. Graf zu Bentheim (1305—1332) wurde auf den Ort übertragen. Das uralte Stufengiebelhaus kommt bereits in einem Siegel um 1400 vor.
English: The arms were granted on October 31, 1972. They combine elements from the seals and arms of the former municipalities; a tent from Veldhausen and the house, as a canting symbol and roundels from Neuenhaus and the County of Bentheim. The tent used on the seal of Veldhausen was the war-tent of the General Rabenhaupt, Baron tho Sucha, A Dutch general from the 17th century.
